Mike McCarron Design, founded in 2002, is the online portfolio website for freelance graphic designer Mike McCarron. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication from Endicott College in Beverly Massachusetts, and over 3 years of professional experience in the field, Mike has a large array of experiences from some of the most respected firms in the design field.

In 1998 he started his professional career with Arena Design in Medford, New Jersey, a talented print shop that possesses an impressive portfolio and client base that includes Sobe and Fleer. Mike helped initiate the design and construction of Arena Design’s website as well as starting up their Internet design department. He also gathered experience in print while working for them by going to printers and taking part in product photo shoots.

In 1999 he worked as an intern for Hypno Design in Moorestown New Jersey, a nationally recognized and multi-talented new media firm. Collaborating on design projects and creating his own promotional print work for Hypno Design has been one of the most influential opportunities in his career.

In 2000 he started his working relationship with Raphael Webscapes, a relatively new, but talented web design company in Haddonfield, New Jersey. In his two years there, Raphael Webscapes has grown into a leading web design firm in the Philadelphia Area. Mike McCarron assisted with the collaboration of some the most recognizable names in business in Philadelphia such as Dietz and Watson and The Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.

He now works as a freelance designer, which has enabled him to become a versatile and well-rounded designer with a strong knowledge of web programming. He continues to keep in contact and collaborate with Hypno Design, Raphael Webscapes, and Arena Design. He is also a partner in the online business venture Search and Dine, the leading online restaurant guide in New Hampshire.

Studio

Mike McCarron Design Studio is a one-man new media company. His experience has allowed him to develop many skills in all areas of visual communication. As a respected designer, he develops visually pleasing design for a wide range of clients from Internet and print to new media (such as animation). Being able to program his own work with the latest and standard compliant technologies such as tables CSS and XHTML allows him to provide terrific results for his employers, clients and collaborators. His programming knowledge extends into dynamic websites that run off databases that include e-commerce and user manageable content management systems. PHP is one language that he is familiar with that allows him to create custom web applications for websites that need a unique touch.
